No it was simply a scrimmage team we put together with girls from NWC, Elk River, Centennial, New Ulm, & Moorhead. Fun weekend of scrimmage hockey in early September in Duluth. Thanks to all who attended!

I believe they are playing in the WAAC league this year.....Win At Any Cost.

Inside source says that if the High School does not raid the U14 team they are just going to cut all the Blaine girls on the team. How's that for getting strung along!!

Is there anyone over there that doesn't tie their own personal worth to the wins and losses of a 13 and 14 year old girls hockey team???

First of all, it is well known that the best players from Centennial 14U A have no intention of playing for the high school. They are all running to greener pastures in the western suburbs. This makes their oversized roster interesting. Are these girls (well, their parents if we're being honest here) hedging their bets and waiting to see if they will jump ship for high school, or will they be forced to skate every 3rd shift this season instead of double shifting or skating every other shift?

How's that any different than any other 14U team? Many of the EP 14U's are trying out for HS. Though U14 tryouts are over (mostly?) and some sorting has occurred, 14U teams won't be decided until after HS has depleted the ranks. With a new HS head coach and every girl having their own ideas about where they want to play (mostly a JV vs 14U internal debate) nobody in the association knows what's going to happen. Not "hedging your bet" would be foolish.
