I don't get this part. Wayne Gretsky isn't even dead, so I don't think he could be reincarnated. And if he was dead, I don't think he could be reincarnated as someone who is already alive. Maybe you are thinking he would be a ghost? He is also from Canada, so I am not sure if he would come back as somebody from Minnesota. But, maybe he is more of a metro than a 218 guy?

Disliking Chaska is bizarre. I think they will be a great story this season and have their best team ever.
Agreed. Chaska has been a doormat for most of their history. They’re a great team to root for this season for anybody who likes the underdogs. By my count they have 4 kids committed to D1 and Koster is the leader, but they’re still going to be an underdog to win their section. Nothing against 218 hockey, but I’m rooting for Koster and Chaska this year.

Scott Perunovich is my favorite high school hockey player since Mike Crowley. Koster isn't in their league yet but I believe he is an outstanding player and leader.

Regarding Scotty P, I recall attending the Bulldog vs Gopher opening game last season & realizing that Scotty handled the puck better than any D on the ice (by the end of the 1st period)...and it wasn’t really close. Koster is a nice player, but I think Luedtke is right with him. The question with Donovan is can he bury the puck, we know he can feed it. I think the loss of Mageau & Worth, along LaMaster are pretty big holes to fill, so unless DE can back fill with some big time sophomores I’ve never heard of...they won’t be as formidable (this season). Tonka is the clear preseason #1 followed by Andover, then DE in my view.

Welcome back 59!

Your wisdom has been missed!

Agree on Ryder . He had at least three opportunities to bury it during the prospects game Wednesday night. But to his credit, he buried three last Saturday for Team North against team south west. Maybe I will see you at their rematch 530 at new Hope Saturday

I thought Luedtke was very good in state last year and in all the games I saw him in. I don't know if he will have the scouts vote, but he would be my top guy right now.

Definitely in top 5 . He will have to replace Molenaar leadership and get all the new and returning talent integrated smoothly in the locker room , not an easy assignment

Anyway, rematch tmrw at 5:30 - see you there!
With RD? Edge goes to north...for sure! But it will be very interesting.

You can scratch SG from Lakeville North. Will be second, maybe third, best player on that team.

Both would be top 5 contenders if they play HS hockey this year.

Just a homer’s Opinion but Aaron Huglen should be on that list.

Perbix has already stated publicly that he is playing in Green Bay this year.

I don't believe that is correct. Before/After is the word. At least as of now.

Does it matter? You have zero chance of being Mr. Hockey, if you're not the best player on your team.

At the beginning of the season, I don''t think it matters. It probably just matters at the end of the high school hockey season, after all the games have been played.
