Alex beat Fergus
Fergus beat Northern Lakes
Northern Lakes beat Alex
Wadena beat Nothern Lakes

Still have games to provide help
2nd Meetings of Alex @ Fergus & Wadena @ Northern Lakes (2nd meeting always gets upper hand in seeding)
Wadena @ Fergus

Too bad Alex refused to play Wadena could use that game this winter.

Seeding it nuts here.
I don't know who Alex takes off the schedule. They have their CLC schedule they have to play and then are playing teams they usually play nonconference.

Most nonconference series are two year contracts, so yes, this year Wadena vs Alex would probably be a good one. But last year, or next year?
BSU do they really need to play a non conference/non section Little Falls twice? seems like an easy drop them to one game and add the section game

Section 6A Rankings (1/22/23)
1- Wadena Deer Creek (10-4-0)
2- Alexandria (4-10-1)
3- Fergus Falls (8-5-1)
4- Northern Lakes (5-8-0)
5- Morris Benson (8-7-0)
6- Prairie Centre (5-9-0)
7- Willmar (5-8-0)
8- Breckenridge/Wahpeton (0-15-0)

Section 6A Outlook- Wadena Deer Creek for now is still unbeaten in 6A and holds the top seed as they picked up wins vs Northern Lakes & Prairie Centre this week. Alexandria picked up a big 6A win over Fergus Falls this week but they will meet again yet this year. Morris/Benson got a big head to head 6A win over Willmar and Breckenridge/Wahpeton continues to search for its first win.

Again my look is current as in like this full week where they sit today. Also, I am waiting on the current PageStat as the above is missing improtant games to help guide and finally Otters will be the 1 seed if they beat Wadena and Alex at home in the 2nd meeting. They control it but as of today Wadena is the 1 seed lots of action left in the last 4 weeks though to move the top 4 around

The point is, opinions vary, but what counts is what the coaches vote later in February.
(at least for this section)
I would like to see Wadena get the #1 seed.
But if I were to vote today, I am not sure that I would vote them at #1.

Yep agree with you 10% but I think you missed my point that the standings today are based off of what has happened as of today not down the road in Feb.

I agree with Fergus or Alex whoever whens the second game at #1 seed just today though was going off current results

I am saying is that this is your opinion (based on today or any other thing).
In my opinion Wadena (based on today) is #3.

Not arguing but just giving a different view (although it doesn't mean anything - just projecting based on my opinion).

The Little Falls/Alexandria rivalry goes back to when Little Falls was in the CLC and played each other twice for conference play. I think most years, Little Falls against Alexandria is going to be a more competitive game than Wadena against Alexandria. This year would most likely be one of the exceptions, but like I said earlier, most contracts are a multi-year deals, does Alexandria "burn" one of those rivalry games just to get Wadena on the schedule for two years, with only one of them possibly being competitive? I don't think you do as year in/year out, you want to play a schedule that is going to have you battle tested come Section and State (if you make it) tournament time.

Respectfully disagree with this take.

It will get sorted out come Sections. Alex looks primed for good run come Sections!

I would tend to agree with this. You don't want to purposely make your schedule soft, which adding Wadena in the vast majority of years, unfortunately would. It tends to lead to 'bad habits', or so I've heard.

Surprised by the punch in the mouth Sauk Rapids gave FF the other day. Any storyline behind that one?

I didn't even notice that score, but now that it has been pointed out, yeah, that is a surprise. Fergus did look somewhat off/anemic against the Cardinals last Friday night in their shutout loss, maybe something is up with the Otters?

I think the Otters are built around 4 year starter Swanny in the net. The Otters want to be able to take a lead and then use their veteran D and Goalie to hold the lead. As soon the opponent gets a 2 goal lead the Otters will struggle as they dont have that scoring punch. Had Issac Johnson chose to play his senior year I think they would be an easy pick to win 6A but now as we can see there are holes in the armor.

Alex seems to be playing better and WDC is still unbeaten in 6A... Should be a fun 6A Semi Saturday .... Hoping it will be at the MAC
