Must be bad down toward Moorhead - not so bad here.

We have about 4+ inches of greasy snow and some impressive wind gusts. One topped 40 in downtown Duluth within the last hour. I haven't heard anything about a postponement so pretty sure they're good to go.

A short time ago, I ran into someone at Amsoil in a position to know the following: Apparently the Rock Ridge folks were consulted about whether a postponement should be considered and the reply was something to the effect of, "this is no big deal on the Range. We'll be there."

Back in 2001 when Greenway went to Duluth for the 7 final game, they played Duluth East, there was a foot of snow at least. The fans drove to Duluth & Greenway was on its way to state. I wonder how many of those mysterious brown bottles were tucked away for the trip.
So, Rock Ridge is right, "no big deal on the Range. We'll be there."

4-1 Gentry. All stars tonight. WBL Goalie has had better games, but Gentry has more talent and it shows. Gentry should be the favorite again Friday...

Sandbaging Stars.There is no way this team was as average as they were all season then had it suddenly click as soon as playoffs started.I have Watched both section game and to me Gentry looks as good as any team I've seen this year.

What are you implying they did? In what way would sandbagging help their cause?

Hermantown beats Rock Ridge 3-1 with a late empty netter.

Hermantown was not as dominant as I expected. If RR could've avoided a 2 1/2 minute stretch of scrambling play at the end of the second period when Hermantown scored both of their 5 on 5 goals, they could have won.

Side note... Only one penalty called in the game, wasn't impressed with that. A couple scoring chances were wiped out for both teams without calls. Even a couple hits high to the head and in the back near the boards we're not called. The one penalty was called against RR at the end of the 2nd period after a scrum as the horn sounded.

After losing to them 7-0 just a couple weeks earlier. Impressive for Edina.

I remember back in '85 Burnsville beat Jefferson something like 10-0 or so. Then they lost to them the next time 2-1. As kids we were like WTH!!! Burnsville beat them again in state semis 4-1.
