I believe the roster will be picked tomorrow. They have a scrimmage with SPA tomorrow. I have been told 23 plus games.

Hi OG, for better or worse both will play. I have not been out there much this year, but they are liking the school. I am sure most of the grenade tossers want this place to fail, but registrations keep coming in and in a couple of years we should have enough numbers to be competitive. This years team is young and short benched. It is a good group of boys, who have found a school where they have success in the class room and improve in hockey. Good luck in Flake this winter. I hope I can see some of your gang at the rinks!
Re: Northern Educate-SPA scrimmage
I believe SPA won3-0. SPA is not exactly a juggernaut for HS hockey, so hopefully the NE parents don't want to throw a coup d'état after one scrimmage.imlisteningtothefnsong wrote:I believe the roster will be picked tomorrow. They have a scrimmage with SPA tomorrow. I have been told 23 plus games.

Thanks for the sage advice U12. This program is about developing the players we have. Winning will take some time. Last year the school started with 8 students and ended with 36. This year we started with 75 and are now over 90 and growing. Keep lobbing the grenades, this program will continue to grow and the student/athletes will continue to develope.

Shouldn't it be ATHLETE/student ? to each his own but it just seems wrong to have "school" wrapped around a hockey program.

OG- our little buddy is sticking to the instruction side and out of the coaching side. Check the times, I heard the 1140 might be earlier. Kids work hard, but in reference to the above remark, I wish we had more athletes than students!! In time OG in time!! Yep beers sound great!! Hello to Boogie and the rest from us

NE Achievers Future
This program is in its inaugural year. They are very young with just a couple of veterans. Our little buddy will see that in a few years, many hours of skill development will pay off and there won’t be a team that can hang with them in 4A. Those in single A will see these guys rise to the top. Not sure why they wanted to be part of the MSHSL however……

IMO they better rise to the top and do it quickly, or they won't be around in five years.mriccihockey wrote:Our little buddy will see that in a few years, many hours of skill development will pay off and there won’t be a team that can hang with them in 4A. The whole day was cheap. Lots of, hits from behind, charging etc. The lack of ref's and the chippy play led to lots of undisciplined random acts of retaliation from all teams. It was nice to see them play and amusing to read all posts about "the new kid" in town. There will be much weeping and gnashing of teeth!
