These teams were interested last year when Chan and Chaska started looking, but they couldn't find eight teams total. St. Louis Park and Cooper might be interested, with situation the way it is in the North Suburban

There was an article in the Rochester paper today that Red Wing's AD has requested to apply to join the Big 9.

Half of the problems could be solved by having football only conferences. With only 4 or 5 away games, travel isn't such a concern. As stated above, in football numbers are a much bigger factor compared to any other sport. Other schools will reject other schools based on football alone. That's not nearly as true in other sports.
