Princeton at Little Falls

Post by Mite-dad »

Princeton has won three straight against the Flyers. Will they continue to frustrate the Flyers or will Little Falls finally break through against the Tigers?

3-0 win over the Flyers makes for 3 shut outs in a row. Anyone seen them play?

NotT, were you at the game tonight? i would like the lowdown on Princeton vs LF. The Tigers have owned LF the last two seasons. How are they getting it done? Obviously goal tending is excellent. Can you or anyone else on here
elaborate on tonights game. I have not had a chance to see the Tigers play.
Thanks!

I'm no expert but here's my take. Princeton is a gritty team that seems to be well coached. They execute well defensively. They made it very difficult for LF to get through the neutral zone by having all five guys up cutting off passing lanes. When LF did get into their end, Princeton often won puck battles and broke the puck out. They limited the effectiveness of LF's forecheck. They also limited LF's shots to one-and-done. Not many second chance scoring opportunities. They did a great job collapsing on the puck and breaking it out after LF shots. They also got great goaltending on the several quality scoring chances that LF had.

While they don't appear to be an offensive powerhouse, they took advantage of mistakes by LF (defensive pinch, turnovers) and put them by Stumpf. Goal 3 was EN.

They appear to be a solid team to me. And they definitely have LF's number.
