WHAFightingSaints wins the week with 8 points, edging out a whole bunch of people with 7, and sparing me the need to lecture everyone about their guesses on Eden Prairie's shot total against Duluth East. (They had 19...)

That moves WHA within one point of co-leaders elliott70 and hockeyman84, who are once again tied after a strong week by Mr. Elliott. crw and blueblood gained ground and are now within two points of the co-leaders, and TTpuckster also made some progress toward fulfilling his New Year's resolution by moving past several people.

Week 9 results are in...and with a cancellation and a tie, it wound up being a very messy one, as no fewer than 12 of you got 6 points.

The tiebreaker is also complicated by the fact that the Hub box score doesn't even have the right score of the BSM-SSM game. (Thanks, Hub.) But we'll stick with what they have, which is 31 saves for the BSM tender--meaning WHAFightingSaints is the winner. WHA is still the overall leader, though 2nd place hockeyman94 kept pace; those two opened up a little more space on everyone else, though.

Sure, we'll do 12 games this week. Some of them are make-ups of games that were originally picked anyway.

Now, week 10 results:

We lost three games to weather, and three people managed perfect 7s: elliott70, Sats81, and greenway1969. The tiebreaker was the number of Warroad shots against EGF, which was 18; greenway's guess of 19 was easily the closest, so greenway wins.

Overall, hockeyman84 is back atop the table, one point ahead of elliott and WHAFightingSaints, and three ahead of blueblood.

Awards ceremony time!

Adding games didn't do much to clarify things, as six of you tied with 9 points this past week. The tiebreaker also failed to break the tie: the number of shots was 35, and two of the tied people guessed 36 shots, while another guessed 34. So, our co-winners for the final week are Bleed Maroon and Gold, Traxler, and InYourFace09.

Overall, hockeyman84 was also among the people with 9, and wins the season-long contest with 79 points! [insert balloons, confetti, and trumpets here]
