The way these two teams seasons have been going, flip a coin.

I feel like this is Roseau's year to finally make it back to the X. I'll go Rams 4-2

I am sure Moorhead's Herdt (sp?) and Roseau's Yon would rather duke it out in the parking lot than let a coin toss decide it.

I hope both bring their A games.

#8 in black vs #18 in white (& green)....

Someone already used my score, but I am feeling a 4 to 2 Roseau victory, maybe even 5 to 2!

Down year for 8AA, Warroad is 3-0 against them and EGF beat Roseau 8-3 in Roseau.

Roseau took it to the Spuds 3-0 in Moorhead.
Im confused by Roseau's play at times but they out played spuds in all aspects in their first meeting......and this one is in Roseau. Rams 5-2 empty net over spuds.

1-1 F/OT.

Nice predicting, puckbreath. Roseau thought they won it in OT, but the goal was waived off because the net was off.

The net was off for the FIFTH time.....

Fantastic game in the old barn tonight. Elliot was right on this one in one aspect, the Spuds goalie stole the night. Shots were even in the game, but the Rams did a great job of keeping shots to the outside and many from the point. The Rams had far more quality chances, ringing the post 4 times and getting robbed on numerous close in shots by the goal tender. The Rams scored in OT, but the net had been dislodged. If the Spuds goalie plays like this they will be tough to beat in the play-offs. Barring a stumble against Bemidji, the Rams should have locked up the number one seed tonight.

Yeah, well, I wish I'd have the same "feeling" when I get a lottery ticket.

Well Coached Goalie

I have seen the net come off repeatedly by some of the best goalies in the most crucial moments robbing teams of game winning or game changing goals. The best goalies use the entire tool box to get the job done.
Nice work Dittmer! =D>

That's only because the better goalies are more aggressive & move around more. When things get busy around the net, they don't have time to stop & decide whether or not to move the net. 99% of the time, the net gets moved by accident rather than intention (sometimes by defensemen, sometimes by forwards & sometimes by opposing players).

I hope these two meet in the section final and it's in Bemidji. If they choose Sanford Center I'm going to be there.

Spudnut I could not agree with you more. Aggressive goalie play is a must to be successful between the pipes. The shoulder bump does happen though during extended heavy pressure and the net seems to come off far too often for it to be accidental. I have watched games where the net has been off 6-8 times after heavy pressure during the course of a game. Purely my observation but it seems to happen when the best tenders are between the pipes.

Lucky for Dittmer there was no instant replay.

Puck was in, THEN net moved. Without question that was a goal. Bush league play. Bush league refs to let it happen through out the entire game.

This net off discussion reminds me of an aggressive Ram goalie in the section final game back in 2007!!

If you weren't at the game, you probably shouldn't comment on the goalie knocking the net off. The net was clearly knocked of at least 6 times in the game and it can be blamed on aggressive play as Spud fans will say and it will be called intentional by Ram fans. It is a penalty that will rarely be called. If any Spud fans have access to a video of the final play, watch and then honestly post on here what you think happened. The tie was a win as far as seeding for the Rams, so nothing hurt and it makes for a great story line if this teams meet in the play-offs.

Oops, sorry - shouldn't be commenting - being a Tater fan & wasn't at the game & all.

Maybe it shouldn't have been posted on here to begin with, since 99% of the people who read it weren't at the game and can't comment. Maybe we should all read these subjects (which are mostly someone else's opinion) and just keep ours to ourselves ! Not much sense in even reading it now, is there ?

Would someone please check with Lee or Karl & see if that's a new rule for 2014 (Ya gotta read & shut up) ?

Where's Slapshooter when ya need him ?
