What happened to the coach at East ridge?[/quote]
Story in local paper said he has taken on more teaching responsibilities, and his wife wants to pursue doctorate so he wants to free her up for that..and he was going to do youth reffing with his son.

Simley coach got fired, North St Paul coaches retired after 20 years, and the Sibley job was given to Corey who had more time.....so a coincidence.Cadets16 wrote:The Classic Suburban is changing it up I see. Or should I say "Metro East"... Ruined a wonderful conference name.
I see why these schools would want this, having to play with STA, Hill, and even Mahtomedi for that matter.

New coaches will have a slightly easier go of it next year with Simley, SSP, NSP, and WSP all down to a single game vs the rest of the conference. Could see them keeping each other as non-conference games to keep some rivalries, especially Simley/SSP.BP wrote:Simley coach got fired, North St Paul coaches retired after 20 years, and the Sibley job was given to Corey who had more time.....so a coincidence.Cadets16 wrote:The Classic Suburban is changing it up I see. Parents more or less run that program, but I believe the head coach this year had his son on the team, looks like he only wanted to coach his senior season, Kotenbeutel was the coach and his son was leading scorer I believe.mulefarm wrote:Either must have a weak AD or some very influental parents?GordonBombay99 wrote:Gonna be their 3rd or 4th one I believe since Weston left.mulefarm wrote:Didn't' Sauk Rapids get rid of a longtime coach just a few years ago?

Re: Coaching Openings for 2014-15 List
Add Farmington to the list! Look for the former coach to go back to the girls team, his daughter will be on the team. A good team for a good coach to take into the South Suburban next year.BP wrote:Here is what I'm aware of for new coaches/openings for 2014-15. Feel free to add on:

Sad that 30-40% turnover in past 5-6 years
