Is there a specific date from the MSHSL that varsity rosters must be finalized, and are there exceptions for late additions (out of state player moving into state for example)?

As far as I know, varsity rosters don't have to be finalized until coaches set their 20-man team for Sectional play.

However, to be eligible for section and state competition, a student must be a member of a school’s hockey program (playing either Varsity or JV) not later than the fourth Monday from the official start of the season.

Keep in mind, MSHSL regulations tend to be "subject to interpretation", or have exceptions, etc. if you will, at times....
