NAHL Showcase

Post by observer »

I see the Magicians and Blades have teams participating at both 16 and 18U.

Are these full season teams or before and after?

Well, they're playing as late as Nov 8th, but it doesn't look like they overlap with HS games.

At least for the Magicians, my understanding is that they are a "before" team only and that most if not all of their players will be trying out for their HS teams in November.

That's basically right, LSA. They have an "affiliate agreement" with MN Hockey allowing them to play a Tier 1 schedule in the Fall, similar to the Blades. The kids then are free to play MN HS hockey in the winter.
