They combined for more goals (75) than 26 AA teams during the regular season.

Tufte would threaten 100 goals with Luverne's clown schedule.

Its ridiculous to honestly believe that. Brock Nelson had 39 goals his senior season at Warroad. Even considering Luverne's easier schedule, its tough to believe someone who can float between the 1st and 2nd line in the NHL would score 100 goals. Take Jaxon Nelson's season for what it is, fun to watch and special.

Watched Tufte tonight, one of the most dynamic players I've seen at the HS level. But boy, does he have an ego. Watched him take runs at kids after the whistle tonight half his size and talk to refs for 5 minutes after a period. Hopefully he can fix that or maybe the Roseville players were giving him a hard time and he doesn't do this in the USHL. Maybe he doesn't have an ego, I don't know, just stating what I observed

Warroad's schedule was WAY better than Luverne's. They actually played a bunch of AA teams and some good A teams.

It really isn't ridiculous at all to think Tufte could get too 100 goals, if he played Luverne's schedule. He is the much better player at this point in their respective careers. He has been absolutley dominating the lower AA competition and alot of those teams are better than anything on Luverne's schedule.

He seems like a down to earth kid. Maybe he actually was just talking to the refs in his last home game ever?

Why didn't he stay in the USHL if he is such an elite talent? Did he just have to prove he could run a few ninth and ten graders on some soft teams??

As far as Tufte having an ego, I wonder what anyone would be like after years of people telling you "your the man" "your the best hockey player at your level" "your going to be one of the best someday" its got to be a tough thing for that kid to handle, good thing is he's got some great parents and a good friend in Nick Bjugstad that can help with all that pressure. But when your getting hacked at most of the games because most of the teams they played had a player in his jersey most of the night and they knew it doesn't take much to get him riled. But on the other hand, he does not back down and gives as much as he takes, it just looks a lot worse because he's so much bigger then everyone else. But anything he does gets noticed because the spotlight is on him.

Did you see who was talking to the refs after the 1st period..?

Heard that Prince George, of the WHL, want's Tufte very badly. Their GM was in town last week and spoke with Riley and his dad.

People would be amazed at the number of former NHLers that are scrambling for a career. College route!

College route for one year vs W for one or two years. I agree with the college route if he plans on playing three or more years at Hawks. If not, it gets complicated and may be tough to argue W route if he wants to accelerate route to professionals. Yes, after his hockey career is done, it is easier to get your degree if you have to finish three years instead of two. There has been many posts on the merits of both so don't want to say anymore. Look at those posts. Anyways, great year for both Luke and Riley, love that they both played their senior year in high school. GB
