NAHL Draft

Post by observer »

Always interesting with recent grads, USHL draftees, and decisions by younger players. NAHL is not typically a youngster league.

The Edina camp was for '00-'01 birthdates, so none were selected this year, though obviously that wasn't the goal of the camp, since '01s can't even play junior hockey next year, and no '00s are going to play in the NA either. A lot more than just NAHL coaches were there watching.

NAHL was not traditionally a "youngster league" but the Janesville Jets have changed that mentality league wide and there has been a major shift in that attitude in the last few years. it shows in the significant rise in D1 players moving on from that league as of late and the expansion of the league as well

Owner of the NAHL Janesville Jets sent out post/tweet or whatever after his main camp was over last week:
"I remember when most of the players @JanesvilleJets1 Main Camp had beards. Now most of them have acne! #gettingyounger #nahl"
