Do you consider yourself a bigger fan of single A or double AA hockey?

A few years back I might have said AA, and that's still where I focus a lot of my attention, both because of my own leanings and the general talent pool/quality of the hockey. That said, A has its own pleasures, and watching teams make do with thinner talent pools yet still lay it all out there can be just as fun. And when a once-in-a-generation group does come through a Class A school, it's well worth going to watch. From a neutral standpoint, there haven't been as many teams I've enjoyed as much as that East Grand Forks group to roll through a couple years ago. The Hanowski years in Little Falls were a treat, too. And there's history at both levels...hell, I'm spending three hours in my car tomorrow to go watch a game between two Class A teams with little to no shot at a State Tournament, and the atmosphere there might be better than in any AA game I see before sections.

Generally speaking, I enjoy & follow AA hockey more, but I do somewhat try to keep tabs on what's going on in A. I've really enjoyed the Class A semis on Friday afternoon, although last year was somewhat of a dud. Hopefully this year can go back to form.

One of my favorite games over the past 10-15 years was the Hermantown-Mahtomedi wild OT semifinal.

I attend more AA big games. However, if a good A game is on the calendar, I will try to attend. I need to do a northern tour of the classic rinks on the range (A) schools one of these years. Really enjoy the region finals at Parade with section 2. Think that is a perfect venue for the teams that compete. Also, enjoy seeing various holiday tournaments. So my vote AA--If I can figure out how to vote. GB

I just love the Hockey scene, but cannot watch the likes of Hemrnatown AA, till they move to AA. Oh and take Breck with you.

If you like AA, you could go watch their youth teams.

Growing up in Northern Minnesota got me used to small town hockey. The things that were accomplished by teams who are eligible to play A is pretty hard not to appreciate.

There are a lot of Olympic Gold Medals residing in those far and away places.

Easily a top 3 most exciting hockey game I have ever been to. I think that almost anyone there would agree.
