Dalton Weigel from Breck had an amazing season.. Very surprised a USHL team hadn't picked him up.

Was not impressed with Samberg's weekend at the X. Hopefully he just had a bad tourney. As Mr. Hockey, he should have really stood out against single A teams. I hope the time in Juniors will help so he contribute to UMD.

Stucker was the best I saw this season. Brinkman very close second. Ganske 3rd.

Colin Baird has to be at least mentioned as one of the top defensemen in the state.

I saw 5 or 6 EP games this year. Not impressed with Leivermann's play as a defenseman at all. Bad pinches and a ton of pucks skipping over his stick leading to odd man rushes and goals for the other team. He has excellent talent as a skater and shooter, but his D play is not the best in the state.

I completely agree on his skating and shot, definitely D1 level right now. But I couldn't help but notice two really bad turnovers he made in the state tournament. Each was a great "no look" pass right on the tape, but unfortunately to a player on the other team.
