Can't see how one can have the Cougars ranked ahead of the Hornets.

I am very intrigued by the logic that says Moorheads early losses which they've since redeemed matter a lot, while some teams recent losses, Grand Rapids for one, don't matter much at all.

The top 10-12 can be pretty interchangeable it appears.

I completely agree BobLee.

It's not an easy year at all for ranking. It's interesting how similar AA Bantams and AA Boys HS are that way this year. 10+ teams that could have a legit shot at the end. Although it seems like the Bantam field is maybe thinning out just a bit as the season goes on whereas the BHS field may almost be getting murkier in some ways depth wise.

Should be a great March.

Agreed it's wide open, and I'd put maybe 14 teams in the top tier that could realistically beat another top tier team on a regular basis. And this sort of goes to the Moorhead question: it's hard to move a team up right now because that would mean someone would have to drop...and who do you drop right now, other than White Bear, who'll be making their exit from the top 15 after this rough week. East? Sure, they lost to Tonka, but are also on a roll lately, with the same margin of victory over Roseau and a win over a Prior Lake team that beat the Spuds. I wouldn't object to anyone ranking the Spuds ahead of East, but they're not that far apart. For all of Rapids' alleged "inconsistency," three of their losses are narrow games against very top teams, and the 4th, while lopsided, was to another team in that top group; they've been beating the teams they should beat comfortably since. Maple Grove? They just beat Hill, and their resume is very similar to Centennial's, who everyone seems to agree belongs among the elite. STA? That's a tough one to argue, too.

Moorhead's tough to rank because they are 2-0 against those other top 14...but outside of Stillwater that's by far the fewest games of any top 14 team against other teams in the top 14. They are, however, the only one with more than 1 blemish against teams that aren't in the top 20 or so. That gets less and less relevant as the season goes on, but when you're digging for things to measure some sort of separation, that kind of thing has to do.
