East 4, Brainerd 1, Final (EN). Shots 29-25 East. A workmanlike effort for the Hounds gets it done, and the second line had a good night with a couple of goals. Not their prettiest game, as they had to kill off a major penalty in the first and a run of penalties in the 3rd, but they popped three in the second and rolled from there. The Warriors are big and tough, and while they don't have blistering skill, they are deep, with 4 lines seeing the ice. Definitely a well-built team, and they'd be a worthy State participant if they get past Moorhead.

Also, if this hockey thing doesn't work out for Garrett Worth, he definitely has a future in a bell choir. Kid dings more pipes than any player I've ever seen.

Edina trailed Lakeville South 1-0 after the first. Hornets took a bunch of shots that didn't get through to net. One minor and 7 seconds later the Cougars had a lead.

Second period was all Edina. I think there was only a shot or two against. Edina up 2-1 after two.

Final 4-1 with a pretty weird empty net goal. On a PP with the goalie pulled, Lakeville attacked 6-on-4. They turned the puck over just as the penalty expired and it led to a breakaway empty netter. Boltmann looked like Kenny Wu coming out of the box to get control of it and walked in all alone. Strange sequence.

Could be a possible opening round game in St. Paul.
Be kind. Rewind.

I left at the end of the second period and the shots were 24-8 Edina, and that was indicative of the play. LS was packing the front of the net and blocking a lot of shots.

Edina has three good lines, and good D. Strong enough to win a Championship. Walker looks great. Just wonder if they have the goaltending.

Watched Wayzata Beat Marshall

First period was competitive, after that it was all Wayzata , winning 2–0 and way outshot Marshall

Grannis is very exciting player to watch, Powerful skater with great acceleration and two-way forward with aggressive forecheck . He a number of quality opportunities, but Wayzata backup goalie was up to the challenge and Grannis unfortunately also missed the cage quite a few times

Stauber hit the crossbar in 3rd, had it gone in might’ve made the finish a little more interesting

Enjoyed meeting Wayz Bantam star Adam Marshall’s parents. Big Trny at WBL next weekend , will face Joey Pierce and the HT Hawks

On to Rosemount at Eastview shortly
