You fell into the northern bias trap

Albert Lea should be in the top 15.

Simley should be top 15, probably 1 above or below South St Paul, they split the season series.

I’m not sure that the Bemidji win warrants jumping TRF up four spots, particularly after losing by three to EGF earlier in the week. Sartell and Minneapolis prevailed in their only action of the week against decent competition.

Also, here are the Section 2A seeds:
1. Orono
2. Mound Westonka
3. Delano
4. Minneapolis
5. Providence Academy
6. Breck
7. Bloomington Kennedy
8. Waconia

Wasn’t there someone who doubted that Breck had any shot at the third seed? The total implosion this week certainly sealed their fate, but it had been a lost season for some time now. Even if the Mustangs could upset Delano, they don’t have enough offensive punch to win three straight.

No Northern bias against anyone here. I had 1A teams mentioned multiple times this season. But Albert Lea has two losses to Northfield, lost to Mankato East, were playing close games their whole season, and don't have any big wins that jump out. I could be wrong, but they don't seem like a top 15 team in state to me on paper.

TRF jumped because they beat a pretty good team who crushed Sartell and because SSP lost to Simley that week. It's all very close.

Simley's close, but I don't like their overall body of work as much. They have one quality win and it was to SSP in the 25th game of the season.

Yes, I was saying that if Breck beat Minneapolis they'd have a good chance to be the 3 seed. It was also assuming they'd win against SPA and TG, which they didn't do. They are seeded appropriately.

Who would've predicted Mankato East winning 1A? That's awesome!
They are making their second state appearance, last was 2006.

Lots of people? They were the #2 seed and split with Albert Lea during the regular season. 1A was pretty much a crapshoot, and any of the top five were in the mix. In any event, I agree with the more important sentiment of congratulating East for making it to state for the first time in many years.
