Burnsville player ejected for injuring STA player?
Just checked MNHOCKEY hub website on the ST Thomas Academy/Burnsville game. The live games score shows one of the Burnvsville players has been ejected for deliberately injury one of the ST Thomas players. Anybody at the game who wants to report what happened? Is it a bad injury?
I saw this too and was about to post. Even in STA's last game East Ridge had 9 penalties with a lot of roughing and cross checking variety. The SOG were a landslide. Thru 2 periods, Burnsville has 10 penalties, STA going 5-10 on the pp. Shots are 41-5. Has anyone been to these games? Are STA's opponents completely losing it?

Didnt see what happened at center ice when the kid was ejected so cant comment on that. What I did see was Burnsville have to kill back to back 5 on 3's in the first period and possibly some animus from a certain official towards Burnsville as the game went on. Penalties were 28 minutes to 2.
Also the music at the arena was so effing loud between whistles you couldn't hear yourself think. Pretty bad when an official is 25 feet from a referee and you can't get his attention. This led to unnecessary confusion on the ice and seemed to P.O. an already P.O'd Burnsville bench.

I didn’t see what happened at center ice but the refs didn’t either.
No arm up for a penalty.
They blew the whistle because the STA kid was rolling around on the ice
Asked the player what happened.
He gave the old “cup check” sign.
Refs talked it over, then went to the STA bench. Talked to the coach.
After that they called a 5 and a game on the Burnsville player.
So either the Toronto office called and said they should call the penalty or the STA coach had a say. ?...
Oh and he was soooo injured that he stayed on the ice for the PP even though they stopped play because he was down.
That same outcome was not reached after a Burnsville player was hit from behind into the boards knocked out, and could not stand without help. Went to the bench with a bloodied face. (They said he needed stitches.?)
They talked about it for a while. No call. Burnsville bench was quite upset.
After the ref was leaving someone chirped at him. Bench minor.
Now none of this affected the outcome. STA is clearly superior to Burnsville in every aspect. But. The refs should at least pay attention to the game.
And yes the other penalties were legit.
