NWOT , if nothing else these bigger Deast kids should have at least made better use of moderate contact followed by bigger body wingspan smother or clutch. Didn’t even see much of that today .

hmm- talent vs rub outs? Without DE goalie it could have 3-1 Andover.
Tip in goal from a ‘blast’ from the point?

Gutsy win by Rapids last night scoring 4 unanswered goals to win 4-3. This team is leaps and bounds ahead of last year's mess, especially at this point in the season. Lots of young players but some good upcoming talent.
It will be interesting to follow.
Like your optimism but let's pump the brakes on the old orange and black. Can they win a game at the Classic?
Post Classic doesn't get any easier with 2 top section 8 teams, surging Maple Grove, tough and trending White Bear Lake.
Could easily limp into East game at 2-8 pace in last 10. Dumping my rapids stock if your buying. #-o

I, like most, thought Cloquet had a shot.
Now I think Andover has a shot. But Randolph has a pact with the devil so my money is on DEast.

That pact must not include winning State Tournaments the past 20 years 😉🏒

If you saw any of their games in person last year you would know what I mean. I think if they win one game at the classic it would be a successful trip. I am definitely not expecting them to be outscored 22-1 like last year. The schedule does get quite challenging from here so we'll see what happens. Stock? If you mean tickets yes I'm still buying!

Not much point in paying attention to the record. If you are watching the games you via KOZY's video feed you would notice a huge difference from last year. This team has lots of speed, passes the puck very well, and if they can bring 51 minutes of energy like they did vs Warroad, I will expect them to win a quarterfinal game and be a thorn in someone's side on Semi-final Saturday. The thing I like about the schedule is they will not be allowed to be complacent. The goal is just to keep improving all the way through Feb. Again, the record doesn't really matter as this isn't a team playing for the top seed and there isn't a donny brook down in Hinckley anymore (sigh). Cloquet is underachieving big time and Rapids is pleasantly playing much better than I was expecting. Rapids certainly can play for the 3 seed, but I don't see much difference between that and 4. Probably going to have a similar opponent in those 3/6 and 4/5 games. As for the classic, I think they can beat EP and Elk River. Edina is certainly going to be an uphill battle, but after Eveleth beat Chaska I guess anything is possible on a given night.

GR has a great goalie in Clafton & a great young D in Peart. They definitely got a shot at beating ER. Doubt they can handle EP & no chance against Edina. 1-2 would be a respectable outcome this week IMO.

Agreed. As far as 7AA is concerned, the Indians are a major player this year.

After looking at the early QRF the battle for the 3 seed will be it's own season. ER v GR at the classic will be an interesting game.

I would say they are a player Knivvy, not sure about major though.

CEC will contest the 3 spot with the Elks. Rapidly Declining in the 5th spot at 8 - 10 win season.
Ugly section 7AA from years past. But that is ebbs and flows of HS hockey.

Just tossing out some random odds but Ep by 1.5 goals, Edina by 2. That’s the beauty of it though. Always got the Underdog!

Definitely agree with the Orange fans that Rapids is much improved this year. Other than a 2 minute stretch against Minnetonka when they lost their composure over a call they have played pretty solid hockey. The fact that they aren't getting outshot 55-7 most games is a good indicator.

I don't think anyone is insinuating that they are top ten in the state but I agree that they could be an interesting team come late February. Anyway, they have been fun to watch so far.

Week 3 pick end are %100 Duluth East picks, which is totally justified. I love the “underdog” role 🤓

GPGT, I have launched a site at WatchingPuck.com where I have most or all of the game that are streaming listed like a TV Guide of live games. I don't believe the game is internet streamed. If it were I think someone would have told me by now.

A fellow hockey lover shared two internet radio options if you would like to listen. I pasted the links on the WatchingPuck thread stickied at the top of the message board. One with Cloquet announcers and another Duluth. That's all I know for now.
Be kind. Rewind.
