I would assume theyd gain 7-8 points? Don’t hold me to it just a guess

I don’t think so that high.. I’d say good chance at 5.they are 20 points behind flake.. unless they beat Cec in a week

If CEC loses to Forest Lake tonight, I see forest lake at 3 and Grand Rapids at 4. CEC still has Duluth East home and Rapids up there.

The way they have played recently, Cloquet isn’t losing to FL, no offense to FL☝️

Forest Lake’s goalies are terrible. Gonna be shooting fish in a barrel for the Jacks. I knew Rapids had it in them to beat a good team like Wayzata. Team speed was really good and honestly Rapids didn’t bury countless Grade A chances. Could have been 5-2. Rapids also without a couple seniors today. Hopefully GR can build off this and go into sections rolling.

Much closer than I expected. I wonder if CEC was looking to Monday.

Meh. While I respect Elk River this hasn't been a good season for them and they seem to be in tail spin. I wish there was online streaming for this game as it might be more meaningful to the QRF than I thought a couple weeks ago.

Went to the FLAKE CEC game last night you got it backwards FLAKES goalie was outstanding CEC is going nowhere with their goal tending.
The OT was in FlAKES end the whole time Josie stopped multiple point blank chances the entire game. CEC had 3 PP goals in which she had no chance.
I will say this The CEC players must all play soccer because they know how to make a bump look like a major injury.

Looks like Andover and DEast are locked in at 1 and 2.
CEC needs to beat GRapids and Proctor to lock in #3, beating DEast will probably not get them the #2 becuase too much disparity in QRF numbers.
Elk River has a chance to catch FLAKE for 4 especially with the tie breaker win.
Grand Rapids with the nice win over Wayzata gives them hope for a move up but with only 3 games against two tough opponents and a third against tough opponents and the third a decent opponent, time seems to be running out.

It looks like
Andover
DEast
CEC
Elk River
Flake
GRapids
Marshall
St Francis
Cambridge

St Franics over Cambridge in t he play-in game

Andover - St Francis
Elk River - FLake
DEast - Marshall
CEC - GRapids

I would not count GRapids out over CEC but the earlier 6-0 drubbing by CEC would indicate a no-contest. The up coming game should give some insight.
Elk River beat FLake earlier but FLake could win that one.
DEAST and Andover will be in the semis.

My predictions
CEC vs DEAST
Elk River vs Andover

CEC vs Andover

Andover to the X

After watching Andover man handle MG yesterday, they are over the HDM hangover and are again rolling. If there’s ever a year where Andover goes to State in 7AA...THIS is the year. They’re a really fast & quick team team that wins races to the puck & pumps shots on goal. And Schoen will be a Mr Hockey Finalist...and Fritz will be a FB award Finalist, while Kaiser & Wolfe are 2 of the best top 5 or 6 D in 7AA.

Yaaassss!

In other news the QRF updated this morning. Rapids up about 8 points and within 3 of Elk River. Still confused as to why Forest Lake is staying as high as they are given they haven’t beat anyone even average all year.

Rapids cant pass Elk unless they gain enough to pass and get outside of the tie breaker( last year was 6.3)
Also will be interesting to see as the section is voting this season to keep QRF or go back to the face/face meetings

Oly cow! There is a good chance CEC doesn’t make the semi finals this year. 😳. I tell you one thing I’ve learned these last couple of years. Success at the youth hockey levels does not always transfer to high school. It blows my mind, but it’s true. I’ll take leadership and stability over winning any day.

If it were coaches vote Forest Lake would be a 7 seed. Perfect there, lost to everyone above em, beat both teams below them.
