I think the winner will either be Brodz or Koster or Jensen

Haven't seen Koster or Huglen in person yet this year, but have seen all the rest several times. Brodzinski is having an absolutely breakout season and is dominating games right now. Love Luedtke, but would have to give it to BB right now.

BB has had an outstanding year. That combined with a "life time achievement award" angle for the Brodzinksi family will be enough to push him to the winner IMHO. GB

That’s a good point GB☝️Only thing that possibly works against him is that a Blaine player won in 2016 (so recently) but obviously the same thing applies to Jack Jensen (2017)..so it’s looking good for BB 👉

Has Tonka yet lost a game Luedtke played in?

But it's hard to argue with 3+ pts/game and Blaine has the #5 SOS as of right now so it has to be BB's to lose.

I believed coming into the season Koster was the front runner. Chaska's up and down season combined with a good season by BB has tightened this race. I think it's between Koster, Luedtke and Brodzinski with Jensen possible. Players that I have seen who don't get mentioned but are having terrific seasons are Doctor and Jungels. I haven't seen Donovan since the Andover game so I have no opinion on him yet. I have a soft spot for defensemen so my favorite is Koster based on the rink rat factor which I think influences the voters.

BB has been doing well enough to be a favorite IMO. However, agree with those saying Koster is right there. 44 points in 19 games for a D is nuts.

Pretty safe to say Bryce is the clear favorite at this point, he can pass riley tufte all time in blaine scoring with 5 more points and if he does he would have done it in only 3 seasons which is absurd.

Blaine’s overall SOS is not 5th when all games are factored in.

The Tonka duo would surpass Kosters total if they played the in the metro west.

He played against Edina.
Correct. And now, make that twice. He was maybe their best 'forward' if not, it was Docter.

In games against common opponents (only the first SLP game for Koster and only the first Edina game for Docter and Luedtke) the numbers are Luedtke 19, Koster 19 and Doctor 13.
Koster against Edina in 1 game.- 4pts
Luedtke and Docter combined in 2 games against Edina.- 3pts

And there you have it, the actual data. Koster does seem to up his game against the top teams. You could argue just as well that his point totals would be higher if he played in the Lake.

Ya not sure how you just make that claim out of nowhere. Clearly biased opinion.

So hard to pick a top Dman over the other two may result in more votes for Brodzinski to win it.

BB seems to up his game against top opponents as well. Only a handful of points against Coon Rapids and Anoka but loads against Andover, Holy Family, EP, MP, HM etc. Also less total games played

Is there a citizenship or academic component involved in Mr Hockey? Or is is based solely on NHL draft status? Has there ever been a Mr Hockey winner determined to be not NCAA eligible? Sorry for the ignorance, just don’t know where criteria is specified.

I think I'd swap Luedtke for Jensen.
