So was there a commitment from these players that they are playing high school this season when they agreed to play? At this point we should know they all will be but does anyone know if that was a part of it?

Scoring can be found at Lets Play Hockey Twitter account.
7-1
Blue over Red
Q: I wasn't there- why was it so lop-sided?
Note: Good MVP-choice.
That kid from Buffalo doesn't receive as much 'cred' as the usual tops as he plays for Buffalo-
Anyone who has seen him play knows he is the real deal :)
Congrats

Seemed balanced until I started recognizing players from elite league in their new uniform colors and deciphering a handful of USHL kids. They split up the players in terms of those who are familiar w/ each other (esp from their HS teams or Elite League) - so that was refreshing to see, however, no Pinoniemi, Donovan, Christy, Lyle or Huglen. So some definite stars missing.

Team Red had the speed and scoring (w/ Jensen, Pitlick, Gleason, Jungels, Kukkonen) but Team Blue was the bigger, longer, heavier team w/ right amount of speed/scoring sprinkled in (Ratzlaff, Vorlicky, Brodzinski, Bushy, Peterson w/ Braccini, LaVelle, Warner, Nevers)...Moreover, not sure who aligned the goalies but Blue Team had Fritsinger AND Glockner! Enough said, right? Red had 3 scoring chances in 1st period that they just couldn't capitalize on (Jensen twice who was on the attack all 1st period, but noticeably winded as game went on - totally due to less skating lately and just getting back, regardless was good to see him back). By end of 2nd period I counted an additional 2-3 Red Team shots that hit the post...could have been 4-3, 3-3 by end of 2. Third period it just slipped away - entire game was typical choppy All-Star game w/ some odd turnovers/plays, but Blue just a bit bigger, had the better overall D and grinded the forecheck - all backed by solid goaltending play.

Overall impression of TRIA rink? Meh. Different, new but zero personality.

And now, we break. We breathe. Home stretch to what should be an entertaining season. Enjoy.

Karl, we wait with baited breadth...

One more take:

Two players who impressed and people were talking about in the stands and hallways?

Easy.

Shane LaVelle, Chaska (Wiscy) and Will Hillman, Blaine (UNCOM)
