Congratulations to Coach Lechner. He's 438-147-26 at Hill-Murray plus 62 wins at Stillwater. Also congratulations to Asst. Coach Pat Schafhauser, who has been with him most of those years and coaches the D-men.

I see the other HM thread is locked . I was going to add that I too remember his courageous 2009 suspensions , and I recall there was also a similar high profile suspension in the 2013-14? time frame

This is a man who knows how to maintain discipline and high integrity in his program

Fun fact: One of Bill Lechner's 500 wins is a victory over Hill-Murray. On Feb. 23, 1993 at Aldrich Arena, Bill Lechner's Stillwater Ponies beat Steve Rohlik's Pioneers 4-3. Rohlik had been Lechner's Assistant at Stillwater the year before. Rohlik is now the Coach at Ohio State. That 1993 HM team lost the State Championship game a few weeks later to one of those powerful Bloomington Jefferson teams of the mid-90s.
