An Eveleth victory would have given them some more ammo for the #4 seed and also helped Greenway in its argument for #2 seed. I still think Eveleth/Virginia is a coin flip no matter where they play and Greenway will be ready this time for Denfeld.

Anyone know if Hermantown gets the winner of the 7/10 game or do they get the lowest remaining seed from Saturday? Say seeds 7 and 9 win, does Hermantown get the 9th seed?

I would say Greenway was ready for Denfeld the last time they played.

North Shore beat Eveleth 4-1. I give up. Hibbing, Eveleth-Gilbert, Falls and North Shore will vie for 5-8 seeds. It will be really interesting. Sure would like to be in the corner listening in.

Denfeld beats Duluth Marshall 5-3. North Shore beats Eveleth 4-1. Interested to see seeds... I would think 1-3 are set. 4/5 should still be Virginia/Eveleth. 6-9 is odd. My best guess:

Hermantown
Denfeld
Greenway
Virginia
Eveleth
IFalls
North Shore
Hibbing
Proctor
Ely

This looks right, except Hibbing will likely be ahead of North Shore, given Hibbing beat them recently.

Falls lost 2-0 to LOW. They have now lost10 in a row. I’d put them at #8 but I doubt they’ll drop that far.

I can't answer that question, but with the win, Ely is now officially on Ewing Theory alert!

I have a question if Eveleth, Virginia etc combine to one school do they have to play AA with all the area schools?

They will not be big enough for AA in hockey. Total enrollment for Virginia, Eveleth-Gilbert, Mountain Iron-Buhl and Mesabi East is 920 this year.

I should have been more specific, I wonder if they would just want to move up to AA with all the kids they well have as one program I am guessing they should have around 58-60 ish kids try out for all levels now.

I’ll be shocked if they do.
