Eden Prairie 218 hockey swing, 1/11 and 1/12

Post by kniven »

Stillwater swept by Greyhounds and Lumberjacks last Friday/Saturday. Eden Prairie makes the sane swing this weekend. It will be fun to see if 218 hockey can defend our area code against 612 and another talented metro hockey squad.

Oh. And Minnetonka at Hermantown on Saturday at 3. It would be a very large late Christmas gift for me if Minnetonka and EP headed back to the 612 after just being swept by 218 🤓

Out here in the lakes area, we have a little identity crisis. Not quite 218, but we play a lot of 218 teams and feel a bit of kinship to many programs up there. Not sure if we want to be lumped in with 320. Kind of like on a little island between Moorhead, St. Cloud and the 218. It has gotten pretty hockey crazy around here though.

I drive a car in winter and motorcycle in the summer, I hate lima beans, I do believe human activity is contributing to climate change, it always has, but the cost of doing something about it is too steep when the money could be better spent on fixable problems like providing safe drinking water to the Earth's 780 million people who do not have access to it. Happy Festivus!

Note to 218’ers:

Minnetonka and EP are not 612 or 763. We’re the 952 and were coming for the 218 all day, every day.

Doesn't Tonka have a lot more successes ahead of them before they start getting the Edina treatment? Aside from last year they've been hard luck kids since the mid-80's. :P

Also, I thought we had determined that Hermantown was the true enemy of all that is good and virtuous in HS hockey. People were even rejoicing when BSM beat the Hawks.

2-1-ain’t.....- I gotta admit I chuckled at that zinger 👍. Well done 😐. It’s always fun when the metro Goliath ‘s come up interstate 35 to play. The arena in Cloquet will be jumping Friday night for sure 👏
