At least you were safely in the confines of your home instead of at the arena!east hockey wrote: ↑Sat Jan 26, 2019 7:23 pm Ryder in overtime for East! 3-2 final over Eagan, preventing me from biting a hole in my keyboard.

Better effort from East tonight after last night's slop-fest, but still a lot of room for improvement. They played very tight at times, chopping away at pucks and clearing blindly instead of playing in control, to the point that the game-tying goal with .8 second remaining really didn't surprise me. The power play was also pretty impotent. In spite of that the ice was still tipping toward the Eagan end for much of the game, and a win is a win.

Virginia 4-1 over Eveleth with an en. Virginia took some bad penalties in the third period. That will secure the #4 seed. Can’t see how they can get any higher.

I'm still waiting to hear what happened to Luedtke, but he seemed to have removed himself from the game right around the time Grant Docter picked up a 5-minute penalty late in the second period. From the video below, Luedtke (#3, far left) looks miserable sitting at the end of the bench, leaning on his stick. After play resumes, he remained in the same position and didn't return for the third period:
