75th Anniversary Documentary

Post by Joe2015 »

I thought KSTP announced during last year's tournament that somebody (I assume them?) was doing a documentary for the 75th anniverary of the tournament. Does anyone know if that is still happening?

Not sure about that, but according to John Millea, there is supposed to be “special events and recognitions to mark the milestone 75th anniversary of the tournament — including an all-time all-tournament team, and lists of the best games and moments from the past 75 years.”

Doc Emrick narrates opening video to the 75th tournament. About a minute, 15 seconds long.

I guess I was hoping for more in honor of the 75th anniversary. Last year, they teased how they were combing the archives for all these lost clips in preparation of this big 75th anniversary presentation. But all we got was some scattered clips, many of which we see every year during the tournament. There is so many more clips and stories and games they didnt have time for. I guess that why I was hoping or thinking it would be an actual documentary.
