Just like last year with Boynton and Howe , 2 of my own predicted top 5 goalies for next year are not rostered - Keopple and Hogg . Input/reasons from Pio and Hornet close followers when insights become available? . Presuming they will both put up good numbers with Blades this fall
Keopple has played with Team WI in the past, playing with them in EL?

Like Pipes said - Keopple from Wisconsin. Will play with Team Wisconsin in the Elite League most likely. Trying out for Sioux City. He’s pegged as a #4 goalie for the Musketeers according to some in the know. Expected back at Hill.

Didn’t Michael Russo tweet about Hogg not being from MN during the state tourney? Caused some uproar 😬 Nice catch Beau

I’ll be damned.

Well... bringing out of state and transfer goalies in is the new thing?

Can’t crap on HF if everyone starts doing it.

With clafton picking the north team he wanted as little of his competition in 7A on the rosters, 2 from Hermantown really. 7 were at the tryout he cut them all. 1 kid from eveleth and 1 from Denfeld, Rediculous Clafton...be embarassed. The season will tell the truth. Greenway will be #4 in the section
No disrespect to EGF ant their talent. But I’ll take more Hawks on the north. Team North with 5 EGF seems very odd/weird. DE, GR, CEC, Hermantown, Greenway, Virginia, Hibbing and a few others sprinkled in. But nonetheless, Team North will be very good.

The U16 Blades played this team in Pitt last year, Blades taking it 7-1 (don't know who was in net for Stars).

The great plains coach is from EGF, thus he cannot coach his own kids, they have to play on the north team, he and clafton have a wink wink to take as many of each others kids as possible. Thats the benefit of being the coach. If organizations want their kids on tge team the coaches need to get involved. The selection process is Not impartial
Yeah, the North/GP is a bit of a different animal in that way.

Here is how it turned out in the Metro, Karl will definitely take this into account when forming his pre-season rankings

Tonka - 9
BSM - 7
EP -6
HM - 6
Rosemount - 6
Andover - 5
Blake - 4
Chaska - 4
HF - 4
STA - 4
Blaine - 3
LVN - 3
MG - 3
Still - 3
Eagan - 2
Edina - 2
ER - 2
WBL - 2

A number of teams with 1 or 0 (Way, LVS, CDH, etc.)

The HT guy crabbing about how unfair it all is... classic!
HT has loaded it up at the lower levels for years by inserting people in the selection process. The McClures from Denfeld were two of the best bantams in state but did not get an invite last year. Meanwhile, a load of HT kids recieved an automatic pass to the next round by a HT dad who was on the selection committee. One of the McClures made the national team this year....

HT only cares about HT.
Notice, no "Congrats to Rapids" or "good to see Eveleth represented"... or anything remotely dignified, just your typical HomerTown glorification. Maybe Clafton wasn't impressed with the junior class.. or maybe he doesn't like HT. Maybe HT got back what they've done at the lower level selections for years. I dont know but find it hard to feel empathy.

Those 3 Rapids sophomores are good , like I said Rapids is going to Be loaded next year as long as nobody leaves early and if they can just find a average goaltender.

Boynton (USHL) and Howe (NAHL) have both found homes for next year, so your goalie evaluation from last year appears to have ultimately be proven correct.

I'm also going to pose the question 7TIMECHAMPS did.

See Noah Rupprecht has SCC listed as his HS team and not TRF. Anyone have insight to this?
I am inclined to believe that is a mistake. One of the first results when you search for Noah’s name is a local news article discussing him living on a farm and being into 4H. That would make a legitimate relocation much more complicated than for the average family. (Not that there aren’t sneaky ways around the rule, but just saying.)

I think Rapids is loaded more this year than they will be next year and will just be a gauntlet for the next several, several years. Hermantown guy is Hermantown guy. It’s the way it is. I want all CEC kids on the roster too just like the Hermantown guy wants his. I guess we all want our kids to be selected. The difference is that Hermantown annually has 7-10 kids in the Elite league so just having 2 is really odd. As well as Duluth East having only 2. Strange year indeed.

Ken you gotta get off of that Duluth East bandwagon are you a lumberjack fan or a hound? yes they are good but the best overall team in section 7 is Grand Rapids if you go by the only thing that matters state championships just like the Rams are the best overall team in section 8 And until Hermantown wins a big boy state championship they well never be the best just tier 2

If you actually read this Dog it does mention Eveleth and Denfeld, Just used the HT numbers as an example, The piont was very few A players other than Greenways...who I believe will be behind Eveleth, Denfeld and Hermantown( you pick the order). The hatred for HT is old and tired. PS NOT a HT guy.
A quick tally of Class A players:
EGF 5
Cathedral 5
Eveleth 2
Greenway. 2
Hermantown 2
7 teams with 1

So your statement “very few A players other than Greenway” isn’t supported by the numbers.

Lumberjacks. I love my 218 hockey brethren though. It’s the boys from the north taking on all that metro big population/private school hockey. We stand together. At least I do 🤓

Once again, you have no clue what you’re talking about. As long as Peart sticks around next season, they will be very good. The only question mark being goaltending. This season they will be a bit bogged down by a weak senior class unless the coach is willing to put more sophomores in the lineup.

So what you are saying narcotic is that if it rains, it is going to be wet outside. You’ve got a point there.

Ken nobody is a bigger Rapids fan then me I went to the rink when everyone bailed on the team last two years, I watch the youth teams I am not saying they can’t go to state this year but they are to young still the senior class is going to do nothing for them this year and having good seniors is a big deal in any sport. They well only get better next year if nobody leaves early and if they find any sort of a decent goalie watch out but goaltending could be the death of the team.
