As always, it is one of 3 teams in this section.

1. EGF
2. Warroad
3. TRF

Yup, although, with the strong Bantam class that Warroad had, they might have the edge this year or next.
What is a Green Wave anyway?

Warroad's Junior and sophmore classes didn't fare to well against EGF in Bantams, and that was without Parker. Last year 2 Bantam defenseman played in Top 6 on Varsity for EGF, probably would have had some effect on the District last year.
Dont be surprised if KCC isn't in top 3.

8A living up to the hype so far:

Warroad undefeated at 6-0. Some impressive wins against SCC, TRF, GR, Bemidji. 5 of 6 wins were on home ice with lone away game against Crookston.

EGF undefeated at 5-0-2. Good wins against GF Central to break their 43 game unbeaten streak, Alex, Delano and ties vs GFRR and Orono. All seven games on the road with 3 home games this week vs Bemidji, Warroad & Greenway.

TRF is 4-4-1. They play everyone tough but difficult to make sense of this team right now. Can beat top teams and lose to lower tier teams.

KCC is undefeated at 5-0. Easily taking care of business against teams they should beat. Wont see good teams until later in the season.

Warroad beats TRF in OT this week. Big game Friday night in EGF which should give us a good idea who is #1 in section right now.

Excited for big day tomorrow in TRF!!

#1 Warroad vs #5 Detroit Lakes
The Warriors should have no problem finishing the Lakers season. DL has a couple of big boys and would suspect they will try play physical to slow down a great offensive team. Have seen Warroad live twice this year (@ EGF and @ Red River), and they dont appear to be a very physical squad, but their as skilled as any team in single A and bury there chances.
I'm predicting Warroad by 5.

#2 EGF vs #3 TRF
This game in TRF's home rink possibly the game of the night in class A. Two totally different teams. EGF has high-end offensive talent with depth. Solid defensive crew and good goaltending.
TRF with one of top D-man and goalie in the state. Not very offensive, but can shut down teams.
I'm predicting EGF with a 2 goal win  .

TRF is to good to be overlooked. Remember Moorhead vs Bemidji!? Tough road to State but EGF LOoks really good.

Does anyone know if this game is being live streamed?

Best Class A Sectional of the Year!!

Warroad vs EGF both would win any other section besides (7A).....

Who wins round 3?

Warroad has had its way with the EGF Goalie in both games.

I think EGF is playing extremely well right now.

I will take EGF because its tough to beat a great team 3 times.

Good Luck to both teams this one should be epic!!

Warroad has had heart break at the hands of EGF and they have to believe that they can win the title game. Can Cooley play as full 51 minutes? Can Warroad match EGF depth.? Can EGF muzzle Warroads top line those questions and more will be answered about 9pm Thursday. It should be fun

Was at the EGF vs TRF game Saturday night. TRF probably had nightmares trying to sleep after that game. A couple HIGH quality chances throughout the game that they just couldn’t seem to bury with a wide open net. Although EGF outshot them heavily they were, in a way, kind of lucky to hold on to the 2-1 lead. Could have been a 3-2 game in favor of TRF if they capitalize on those wide open chances. EGF has played very well as of late and could give Warroad a scare, but to me they didn’t look like the EGF that manhandled SCC a week or two ago. Should be a very interesting game Thursday night regardless!

Another question to ask.. Can Foster stand tall in net again for the Warriors? EGF has outshot Warroad fairly handily in both games this year if I recall correctly. He seems to show up in big games for them. Will EGF find a way to get a few past him? Two highly offensive teams. Could be an interesting goalie battle in the Ralph on Thursday night!

Interesting fact: Warroad is actually the stingiest defensive team in Class A, allowing only 1.44 goals per game. EGF is second at 1.58. So for all of the offense of talent on the ice, it may well be a low-scoring affair.

Warroad vs. Roseau this year, in 2 games, Warroad out shot Roseau 63-49 and Roseau won by a combined score of 7-4. Two games Roseau vs. EGF, EgF out shot Roseau 65-47, almost identical to Warroad and EGF won by a combined score of 8-2. Warroad beats EGF twice. High School hockey, who can predict it! My feeling is EGF is a bit deeper than Warroad, but Warroad has a stronger top line. I know everyone says that it is hard to beat a good team 3 times, but I feel Warroad, with solid goaltending, will once again prevail.

I listened to it on KNOX radio out of Gf they said they would have the final. Play by play wasn't terrible.

It’s too bad we can’t see both of these teams down at the Xcel next week. Hopefully the Hunters can prevail in 7A.
