Hill-Murray 7, Greenway 0. SOG 44-16. H-M also beat Rapids first. Not sure of the score but I think it was 6-2. Greenway looks like they will really struggle to score.

Yea, maybe, but, if I remember correctly, they started out slow last year also.

AHA vs Andover. Scores don’t matter they are scrimmages. Andover definitely took it to the Stars, a bit quicker and hit harder. Stars did not get a lot of shots but I like the way they have improved in the last couple of years. Still need some work but hey playing against top teams helps. Next up they have WBL and Lakeville South. Won’t get to see much of the next two games.

BSM Scrimmage Fest had some good teams over on Saturday. EP and BSM are as good as advertised. SCC should be a top A again. CDH looks pretty good as well. Lots of speed on display from all teams involved.

They are scrimmages, while fun to watch, some teams still use them as tryouts, thus not really even seeing the finished product. Coaches will roll 3-4 lines and play 6-7 D and multiple goalies to get a look at players before the start of regular season. Most venues don't even post scores on the scoreboard and no special teams.... It's like preseason NFL football. :)

According to the IRC website, they are having a jamboree tomorrow night (Tuesday) at the Miner's in Virginia. It's been awhile since the last time they had one.

5:30 p.m. IFalls vs. North Shore
6:30 p.m. Hibbing vs. Virginia
7:30 p.m. Greenway vs. Eveleth

Guessing it's 45 minute running time for these mini-games.

There used to be a jamboree in section 8A. Does that still happen?

Cretin, Holy Angels and St. Cloud Cathedral will be scrimmaging at Schulz Arena on Saturday starting around 10:00 AM.

Think (not sure) order goes:

Cretin vs. Holy Angels
Holy Angels vs. Cathedral
Cathedral vs. Cretin
