Jack Peart Grand Rapids

Post by grandindian » Sun Feb 02, 2020 5:43 pm

Ive had the chance to see some skilled Rapids players over the years. I cant help but be impressed with Peart from Rapids. The kid has skills, moxy, and makes it look easy doing it. And still a junior.

No doubt he is fun to watch. Very good defensively and a ton of offensive talent as well. He handles the puck in traffic with a lot of confidence.

Was just a guess on my part. Ive noted your posts over the years. I can tell you understand the game by your comments. Rapids could be a sleeper threat this year.

They really have played well against a strong schedule. I figured they would struggle a bit more than they have. I was at the game against Edina in December and the Hornets really came out with some jump (as they always do in that tournament) and got few quick goals. That was the only game all year that they were not really in.

Looking forward to the post season.

Agree Grindian80, Ive seen him a half dozen times in each of the last couple years, and really like him. Next season is going to be interesting again with a lot of top senior Dmen: Peart, L Middlestadt, Palodichuk, Pierce, Ludtke, Beacom, Williams,Ratzlaff, Nelson, etc (Although not entirely sure Peart and Middle will return for their senior years?)

I would be surprised if Beacom slogged it out for another season at Kennedy. Cedar Rapids will have several defensemen moving on to the college ranks, and it seems like the USHL would help his development. (Sorry to derail the thread a bit.)
