6 SEED VERSUS 7 SEED
Don't see that in a semi very often.
I don't believe they played each other during the year.
Both over achieved (according to some) in the play-offs.

I have always been a fan of SSP and they are the higher seed (if that means anything at all).

I will go with the south team.

Considering EP’s slow starts in the playoffs so far, Chaska will need to score early and often if they want a shot of winning. Bigger ice sheet favors EP.

Last year it was EP 7 - Chaska 3 at Braemar in the semis. I wouldn't be surprised by a repeat.

Why doesn’t 4A and 4AA play their semis on Tuesday?

Hoops starts at 8pm so only problem will be leaving--assuming most of us plan on going to both games. GB

Almost no sports are played on precinct caucus night by public schools. There was a total of 23 basketball games Tuesday, very few involved public schools.

With two smaller private schools in game 1 and a ton of other games tonight - I don't think it will be that packed - even though it is a great match-up. Also - attendance the last 3-4 years hasn't been what it was 7-8+ years ago. There used to me a line a mile long - now you can walk right up and get tickets in a short line, if any. But it does get full at the end of Game 1. I remember 7-8+ years ago getting there before 5:00 and the line would take 30-40 minutes to get a ticket. Not the case anymore. And yes - the schools sold tickets prior as well.

Where is the best place to park tonight at Mariucci? Usually park in the ramp west of the arena and Ridder. Wish they would just stream both games for $10 a game so a guy could watch a few other games being streamed too.

Saw on Twitter that the most of the schools have been selling tickets at schools. Am guessing that there are at least 500 tickets sold in advance at all 4 schools.

I remember a year in the 90's when Apple Valley and Jefferson were playing in the second game of the evening and by the time we arrived it was sold out and we were turned away.

With the assinine U of M scheduling a men’s basketball game the same night as the 6AA & 2AA Section Finals (simply moronic) Section Finals that have been played at Mariucci for decades...parking is gonna SUCK tonight. I found a parking spot in an adjacent lot on the far side of TCF Stadium, but all the close lots are unavailable as they serve as reserve parking for the basketball clowns 🤬

Refs are definitely letting them play (as expected tonight) I don’t anticipate many penalties being called
