Guessing Pierre will be in USHL, and now wondering about how Palodichuk plans might develop , ie Fargo?

Including sections Lleyton Roed had a total of 52 points this season, if he doesn't come back the next highest point total returning would be Ethan Moerke who had a total of 14 points this year. Besides Roed and Moerke the Bears only return 3 players who scored a goal, Tyler Bishop is the only other returning forward who scored a goal this year with a total of two, granted the young forwards did not see a lot of playing time with so many seniors in the lineup. Joey Frattalone and Nicky O'Brien are the other two who scored this year and they are both defenseman who scored 1 goal each. The Bears will need the whole team to chip in for offense next year. They will also be going into the season with a goalie who doesn't have any varsity experience as both Steffens and Dehling graduate. Will be an interesting year for sure.

A very interesting year for sure, even if Lleyton Roed returns.

We know coach wasn't successful coaching loaded teams throughout his time at WBL. Lets hope he can coach bare teams, as that is the direction WBL will be taking for the foreseeable future.

Depends on how you define foreseeable future. 2-3 years yes, but the Peewee group now is very talented with some top end talent. I'm not against a new voice behind the bench by any means. I think less than 5 years left until Sager will retire based on my understanding.

I'm very opposed to a new voice behind the bench.

I just love the way it seems there are helium balloons tied to the wrists of the current coach, the way he his jaw drops, he looks at a ref, and his arms fly over his head, about 15 times each game. No one on that bench should stand next to him, you'll get whacked in the head.

Here’s a question from a Duluth area guy. What public school youth/high school program has fed the Hill hockey dynasty the most over the last 10-20 years? I still hope to be in attendance at one of those Hill vs. WBL matchups one of these days...

In the last 10-20 years it would probably be Stillwater or Woodbury that has fed the Hill-Murray hockey team the most.

The Pioneers have also had some outstanding players from the Park-Cottage Grove system. Just recently Pierre, Palodichuk, and Helgeson have all come from there.

Didn't Helgeson come from Roseau? And then the family lived in Lake Elmo?

Yes, I thought Helgeson was a Roseau kid.

I remember that now, you’re absolutely correct. Sorry for the bad info.
