Pine City to Mississippi 8

More Class A news as Pine City will be changing conferences. The Dragons lost to Monticello in an epic, wild 5A final, but bid adieu to a stellar senior class. Still, the program seems to be in solid hands, and the stronger conference competition should help.

Good move for the Dragons. I guess the Snake River does make its way to the St. Croix, which eventually hooks up with the Mississippi, so it sort of makes sense geographically.

Pine City will be competitive in this conference, if not the first season for sure over time. The Dragons have put together a stellar program that could just as easily have gone to State this year. Keep in mind, the Moose and Dragons were tied up, 4-4-, with a minute-fifteen left in championship regulation.

Teams to keep an eye on in this conference: Chisago Lakes, Pine City, Monticello and Princeton
