This topic will die a quick death but deserves a mention.
Noel Jenke died on July 25th. If you are an old timer from southern Minnesota Noel Jenke is a legend, along the lines of Paul Giel and as a state up there with Dave Winfield. Noel came from Owatonna, graduated in 1965, and played at the University of Minnesota in 3 sports; football, hockey, and baseball, At the time Owatonna did not have high school hockey! Jenke was drafted by the Red Sox, and played in NFL with the Vikings, Falcons, and Packers. He was also drafted by the St Paul Saints of the WHL. Dave Winfield only played 2 sports at Minnesota....
He is a legend in Southern Minnesota, and should be for all of Minnesota. In running for the greatest Gopher.
