1AA outlook

Post by blueblood »

1AA
South
North

South expected to take 1AA and earn a possible state seed

Anyone see it any other way?

Agree!

Will be interested to see how Skyler Vetter does in goal for Lvn. Think she only had 2-3 varsity games last year , and did well

North loses nearly every player of consequence and will be rebuilding. I wouldn’t be shocked to see Hastings finally break the Lakeville title game monopoly, but South should roll through everyone regardless.

Edit: duh, I just remembered that Hastings was in the 1AA final last year, and nearly took down South at that. The Tradition Rich Metro East!

It's really too bad she isn't playing girls' hockey in the winter seasons. It would make for a better girls' hockey product, and maybe Lakeville North's roster wouldn't have disintegrated last year.

South is the favorite but Hastings does return enough. They were screwed by the officials last year.......discount the Raiders at your own peril. McCarville is the best goalie in 1AA. Playing in the best conference won’t hurt the Raiders....TRME!

Century will be down, Owatonna could make a run. South should be the favorite followed by Hastings and Owatonna.

The section is as such that a delay in the start of the season could send a bunch of the top players into junior leagues and throw the entire section into chaos. No team is very deep and the exodus of a few players could drastically alter the 1AA landscape.

South will get #1 seed as deserved.

North will be #2 and again lose to Hastings at #3. Hastings will again give South everything they want in a section final.

Doubt anyone gives LVS all they can handle if South is on their game. This isn’t South of last two years. Legit three lines deep in offense and two of the best goalies in the state.
