Just curious -- how do you transfer from one private school to another in the same general area and be allowed to play? I think I understand the public to public situation, and the public to private, but private to private?

Great  I thought he was so overrated according to the intelligentsia around these parts. Granted, the Breck schedule wasn’t a murderer’s row last year, but he improved a ton during sophomore year and there aren’t many kids that big with decent skating and puck skills.

You could actually go the legitimate route and move from your school district to a new one, but I am 99% sure that didn’t occur here. BSM also managed to pluck Ellington from Providence last year (not to mention a few high end lacrosse players from other privates). There’s some wild west stuff going on with many of these transfers.

An interesting Class A result, bearing in mind it is the first game for both teams:
Sartell 4. Monticello 0

The Sabres are expected to be much improved this year, and that is a nice start.

Solid game. BSM played without 5/6 varsity players including 3 Elite League players. Looked like HF had full varsity roster. Good to see both teams playing real hockey including 3 periods, intermissions, announcer, music and decent crowd to watch. Other bridge games have been played more like scrimmages.

Was the transfer goalie from BSM in nets for Holy Family?

Sounds like BSM could actually win Section 6AA this year with that much depth.

Thanks for the insight, it sounds like a fun game to have attended and a nice return to semi-normalcy for a night.

It looks like Buffalo has pulled the plug on the rest of their schedule (except maybe the final game?). I will try to get clarification as to whether it is due to Covid issues.

I was at BSM/HF game. Felt like real High School Hockey. I'm going tomorrow too. They let in 100 non-pass holding spectators.
BSM v. MG. Should be good.

No, that is the reason he was able to transfer w/o having to sit out. You can imagine the chuckles that his former teammates let out when told of the reason considering the shenanigans he pulled.

His parents aren't moving, they have the 2nd biggest house in the bubble...just ask them. :)

Those who are most at risk or afraid of COVID should not attend tonight's bridge game. BTW it's at 5pm at SLP West Rink and I'm going to be there.

Stang be careful on using the bridge season as any kind of preview for High School

Most A and B teams look to be spilt by Age instead of ability like Varisty and JV...

I think that most groups are also playing back up goalies for at least 1/2 of games at times.

Again this is just summer hockey in the Fall and should not be used as full-on preview of any sort...

Saw a fun Bsm vs Cdh game today at SLP . A 5-4 Bsm win .

Both teams had full complement , except Adam
Marshall was missing for Bsm

Bsm played backup goalie, Limesand played yesterday

Bsm an older and bigger team , with 8 elites . Sarsland got 2, and does not hesitate to move puck in deep. Callahan and Yakesh also strong on blue line . Ellings had decent game .

Cdh 3-4 elites . could be double that next year as Sondreals and Cardenas progress further .Cardenas had 1 today and 2 yesterday . Fisher has one and just missed a couple . Team is quick , good hustle , persistent forecheck aka Gleason .

All in all a nice one to watch

Solid game. BSM played without 6 varsity players but most top player except Marshall and Limesand played. Good to see the teams competing.
