Dodge County beats LaCrescent 14-1. The Wildcats have two losses (#1 AA Maple Grove and Mayo) and a tie with a decent Northfield team.

Dodge County, counting today, has 8 games in the next 15 days. Then playoffs, that is a tough stretch no matter who you are.

I did look the other day and wonder about BSM's schedule and wondered if they were as good as advertised. Even with that doubt, this score surprises me. Edina has had trouble scoring all year. I may need to watch the 2nd period on the replay.

That’s what I did this morning. Benilde actually played a fine second period, but Edina scored on what seemed like every opportunity. Benilde’s goalie let in 2-3 I’m sure he wishes he had back too.

No kidding, where has that Edina offense been all season?! I wasn’t paying close attention to the game, and that 2nd period was like goal, goal, goal… before I even had time to look up. That game alone raised Edina’s scoring average from 2.75 to 3.0 goals per game.
