Minneapolis appears to be in Covid protocol, and it looks like they are done for the remainder of the regular season. Too bad, but hopefully they will be able to play in sections.

Hastings is mauling SSP 6-0 after 2, shots around 30-5.

Hastings played really well against Mahtomedi, they lost their leading scorer to an injury in the first period but Kendall is back tonight.

The Raiders get Mahtomedi, Hill, and Blake in the next 7 days. A good test and tune up for the playoffs.

Grand Rapids 3, Duluth East 1, final. The score is similar to the one at IRA (3-0), but two very different games. East was right in this one until a late goal put it away and had some chances to make it really interesting. If the Hounds can get any sort of life into their PP and don't lay an egg against Cloquet, a semifinal matchup could be intriguing. Rapids is methodical and great at limiting chances, but they aren't going to blow out a disciplined opponent and took some ill-advised penalties. I certainly don't think they're a runaway favorite in the section.

Give credit to NL; the goalie was fantastic and they buried their limited chances. But it was still an ugly loss for the Flyers. LF gave up goals on three odd-man rushes, including one shorthanded and another with the Lightning on a 5-on-3. They failed to convert a penalty shot and a few golden chances early.

It’s hard to say what impact the layoff had on the Flyers, but it’s no excuse to only score twice on 54 shots.

We went out to Chaska tonite vs Tonka . Skips built an early solid lead . Hawks showed good character coming back from 3-0 and 4-2 deficits but came up 1 goal short . Guessing HF and Chaska will be the 4/5 seeds in 2AA and play each other in opening playoff round like last year , this time at Victoria

Players to watch in future include Tonka freshman Beckett Hendrickson (likely ntdp invite ) and Dman Liam Hupka , and Chaska Dman Sam Rinzel
