High schools represented in NCAA tourney

Post by north_bear » Sat Mar 27, 2021 2:56 pm

I must have been really bored. Here are the top 9 high schools represented by the 16 teams in the NCAA field.

1. Edina - 8
2. Hermantown - 6
3. Grand Rapids - 5
4. Elk River - 5
5. Eden Prairie - 5
6. Duluth East - 4
7. St Thomas - 4
8. Burnsville - 4
9. Holy Family - 4

Great to see this and a great reminder of how strong prep hockey is in Minnesota. Things to note: I did not include Shattuck, but they would be near the top of this list. Boston University is the only team with 0 players from MN. Boston College has 1 from Shattuck. The Gophers lead the list with 18, UMD 17, SCSU 11. Go Minny!

Good catch. After going through 16 rosters I was bound to miss something.
