Looking at this roster (https://ushl.com/ht#/roster/24/79?league=1) he is not listed, along with Merrick, Bechen, Gunty, Dolzhenko, M Fisher, & De Haro.

I know it's already been noted but for Class A Isaac Johnson leaving Fergus Falls is huge hit to the Otters. Saw on twitter that he is forgoing his senior year and will stay in Cedar Rapids.

Yes, you can play as an affiliate in either league if you are not on their protected list.

The list of junior kids was added to this thread this year because there were so many of them that elected juniors instead of HSEL.
So conceivably more might be thinking to elect a full junior season if they made the roster

Helpful just to track status of kids .

But won’t know for sure until November

I could be wrong, but I’m guessing his dad is no longer coaching with the team. FWIW U16 Power is an up and coming program for a full season U16 team and the hockey is pretty good, especially for an 07. Not the caliber of MN high school, but still pretty good.

If you look deeper...Sioux Falls has more D1 committed kids (05s and 06s) the past 12 months than almost any high school in MN. I believe the number stands at 5 today with more to come. Do they compete with MSHSL top 20...probably not. Also, hard to pass up being coached every day for 8 months by a USHL Assistant GM.

not strange at all..for being a low end team, they seem to be doing well against the MN Tier 1 non-national bound teams. The level of competition they play all year is top notch...metal sharpens metal. Coaching is great and surrounding yourself with kids and coaches who have the same goal can't hurt ones development on and off the ice. Good for him! Chase your dream kid.
