Maybe he was thinking about his 1991 team that was #1 in the state most of the year. #2 was Park and somehow HM beat them both and then went on to win the state title (don't mention this to Lee, he's still mad).

From what it sounded like, Bonin said his 1992 White Bear team was the best of his 3-years in high school hockey at White Bear.

That would make more sense.
However, I would have to disagree with Bonin. I have always felt that his sophomore year was the best team of his 3-years of hockey at White Bear. They had more depth and were the last unbeaten team in Minnesota with a record of 13-0-1 on January 25 in 1990.
