I would do that every time (unless it was the finals of the Stanley Cup).

I could pick 5 games here that could be my favorite of the day. What a great day of hockey as we come down the stretch.

Can Tonka hold onto to #1 ranking with a win? Does it matter?
Can DE take out a talented Rogers team? This is the quality win they need to shake the naysayers.
BSM in GR…..that just fun.
Andover vs Maple Grove. Who knows what will happen here.

Bears 2 Ponies 0 after 1. Shots something like 14-7 in favor of the Bears. Not a good period for Stillwater.

Lot of game left, but this doesn't seem like the same Ponies team that just beat STA & CDH in back-to-back games by a combined score of 10-3

Bears score in OT, and win 3-2

Stillwater made it a game after a poor start and finding themselves down 0-2 pretty quick. Stillwaters 8th OT game of the year? Sheesh

Maple Grove 2-1 after 2 over Andover.
For those who aren't watching, Roach was called for delay of game for leaving the net and smothering the puck behind the net. I've never seen that call before, but, after some thought, I do agree with it.

To answer a couple of your questions,
East 3-2 over Rogers
BSM over Grand Rapids 5-3.
Maple Grove & 2-2 14 min. left in regulation.

MG. wins 3-2.

Maybe? Possibly? Maybe not?

WBL
Overall record: 16-5
Section record: 6-2
Pagestat SOS: 28

Hill Murray
Overall record: 11-10-1
Section record: 2-0-1
Pagestat SOS: 10

Stillwater
Overall record: 13-7-3
Section record: 4-3-1
Pagestat SOS: 19

Stillwater is probably not going to get the #1 seed or even #2 seed based on section record. I just don't think coaches are placing them higher than teams with significantly better section winning percentages:

Hill Murray section winning %: 83 percent
White Bear section winning %: 75 percent
Stillwater section winning %: 56 percent

Head-to-head
Hill Murray 1-0-1
White Bear 1-2
Stillwater 1-1-1

None of these 3 teams have any remaining section games

Logically, this will come down to WBL & HM going #1 or #2 in some order. Overall record favors WBL, but their schedule was a cakewalk compared to Hill's. Hill won the head-to-head and has a better section winning percentage, albeit with a notably smaller sample size.

Hill is somewhere around 5-6 places behind WBL in the standings, with Hill possibly closing the gap (or the gap widening) with 3 pretty tough games left.

As it stands now, I'd give the #1 seed to Hill by a hair. As I've argued previously, if you're going to have sections, then head-to-head and overall section winning percentage should be the top 2 considerations in placing teams. And there's precedent to this, a la the Edina/Blake girls section that spurred a thread on the board earlier this week.

Just my two cents

It counts. But some have argued that, in the future, it should be considered an exhibition and not be counted. But for now, it is.

Yea right. Let’s not forget no matter what seed you get you will be playing at home. The fans will be confused because they might have to sit on the other side of the arena. Just my two cents.

Nobody told WBL to play their games in Vadnais Heights. Didn’t that stadium go into bankruptcy? Was that before or after it’s roof collapsed and it became the home of Gentry? Bears I’m sure would be welcome to play their games at Aldrich if they so choose. With so many former White Bear Lake kids playing for Hill, its sort of like Aldrich is the home of the Bears anyway. Just my two cents.

It’s not just White Bear it’s all the other team in 4AA. Not sure it their roof collapsed or if they would want to play their home games at Aldrich. The only arena in Minnesota where you can get a hot dog as big as your head.

Just think, they could hang all those WB championship banners up next to Hill’s. Oh, wait.

Well I’m sure an 0-18 banner would look cool too. You gotta be the best at something. Even if it’s being the best at being the worst.

I think the coaches before the game agreed it was more an exhibition for HDM and wont effect rankings in 4AA. If it is thrown out, WBL clear 1 and HM clear 2 SW 3 Lucius Acadamy 4
