Our goalie had the good fortune of being on a team with Pat McFadden this summer. I haven't seen every PeeWee player in the state, but he's got to be near the top.

watchdog, thanks for the advice. I hear you knockin'. However, I've read your posts too and found them to be filled with nothing but a biased, incessant drum beat for Roseau and an obvious disdain for anyone from "down south". I've seen some of your teams at state and other than your HS squad, I'm not as impressed by them as you are. Good luck to your teams anyway. It seems they've got nowhere to go but down.

Taking Yon out of Crookston is going to leave a huge hole. They had a very good Squirt A team last year.

I would have to say Jake Wahlin from WBL is up there, he is small but he can skate, he is got great hands and he is only in 5th grade.

I dont know, cause i havent seen every kid or team but i would go with, McFadden, Samuelson, or Zmolek (Zmolek's in 5th grade) Theyve all got speed and good hands.

Lucas debenet from I falls had a huge weekend in Greenway tournament this weekend although against weaker teams but against Hibbing in a 6 -4 game he had 3 goals and 2 assist, very nice player best seen so far in the early season

Pat McFadden - WSP Sibley, played for me last summer on our AAA team and on my Midwest Selects squad and is a monster. He has so much upside with his athletisim that it's scary. Others on his tail are Jake Guentzel & Ryan Winter both Wdby, Zach Glienke - Eagan, Hudson Fasching - AV. Watch out for Jake O'Keefe from Kennedy in a year or two. But you have to see Pat play to understand. I'm an east metro guy so I'm sure the west metro has a say in this...
P.S. Willie Brown - SSP, will be a candidate next year with Wallin - WBL, and Smolek I imagine. Having coached 94 AAA for 5 years I've seen a lot of great players who are now Peewees but I haven't seen those Roseau kids?

you probley have seen those roseau kids and didnt know it. in the age group 95 which are peewees this season their was 10 of them on diffrent teams playing in the meltdown invite last summer. I know this the okenson kid on roseau is one of the top peewees in the state and right with him is strand who is a first year player.

Zach Lavalle-NSP, one of the best 94 birth year forwards in the state. Coaches kid, excellent 2 way player and a snipe. 7th grader at Hill.
Great kid, great family.

AJ Johnson-94 Fire, 7th grader Hill, had he played Stillwater Pee Wees, everyone in the state would know him (5-7 160) and a truck on the ice). Will be a "where did he come from" down the road even though he's already top end. Great kid, great family.

Always nice when you hear/see great kid, great family

A 94 that is 5'7" and 160 lbs.? The kid must be a beast.

I would add Jake "Moose" Horton. He plays 94 Fire Minor Bantams but is a 7th grader from Lake Elmo. Very skilled.
