Is EGF that good or is their record a result of a weak schedule?

P.S. i'm not bashing them I just dont know much about them.

their schedule has been so so.

They play Edina just before the Roseau tournament, so we will see next week where they really are.

But, since I hail from there, I am being a homer.

I think you are correct. Fire team too small/young, although very competitve and they do add depth. I dont see any other contenders though. Edina vs Wayzata in champioship game, Edina champs. Any other predictions?

Agreed,

The Fire are a good team.

This tournament should be very good.

Roseau is outdoing itself this year with it's tournaments.

Thanks Roseau.Image

Agreed, kudos to Roseau for putting on what looks like the premier Pee Wee A tournament for 09-10!

While I do think the Elks will take the title, I would like to know a bit more about EGF. I looked at their web site and it looks like they won a bunch of games vs no loses. However (and no offense here) it looks like they haven't played any tough teams at all. Lots of very big scores with few goals against, I think this weekend we will find out for sure, but I would like to hear a little scouting report.

I think the Fire and EGF could be the surprises out of pool play.
Is it really true that Edina will have to forfeit if they have to face the Fire?
Heard this rumor that District 6 is getting their paws into it again and will force Edina to forfeit. Any news?

We can get a glimpse on Thursday.
Edina will swing in to EGF for a game on Thursday.
EGF did just play the Fargo Flyers and beat them.
The Flyers are a good team.

So here's the report that I just heard, Edina drives 5 hours, hops on the ice against EGF and -

Edina 9
EGF 1

50 shots to 20 shots.

TTpuck - can't wait to hear how the game looked. Roseau is nice and warm can't wait till you get here!

Shots:

EGF: 42
Edina: 28

Edina had more quality shots than EGF.

I like TTpucksters outcomes for the winners of the pools. The gr team i heard lost to a couple of the range teams. they will struggle in this tournament if they dont turn it around. i think egf will beat edina in this tournament

EGF actually had the territorial edge in the game, but Edina put the puck in the net.

Better goalie? Better scorers, or just one of those games.
Afte all, this is PeeWees, where from one night to the next can be much more variable.
I have a lot of faith in the coach and the kids on this team,

I am still going with EGF to win it all this weekend.

"EGF actually had the territorial edge in the game, but Edina put the puck in the net."

Kinda like the Dallas Cowboys had the territorial edge on the Vikings last weekend.

TTpuck,

I'd like a piece of that action.

So your taking EGF, who just got destroyed, to advance from a pool that has 2 teams that beat the team that destroyed your team in three games already this season.

I know that i'm and Elks homer, but being a homer has to end somewhere. Let's face it, you played your first tough team of the year and they destroyed you. Now ER and EP are going to show you how good you really are.

But like I said,i'm willing to take a little action on the game if your so confident. Say a honey bee?

Saturday 5pm, bring it on baby!

the Dallas Cowpokes had the territorial edge?

I guess we didn't watch the same game.

Not the same in the EGF vrs Edina game.

Maybe none of you remember last year when the Roseau PWA team took some lumps during the season, but by the end, who won the state tournament?

This weekend will be a start in that direction.
