EP 3
Edina dominated the first and most of the second period, leading 4-1 at one point. EP got within 1 early in the third, then Edina scored with about 5 minutes left plus an empty net goal.

Roughly halfway through district play and no surprise WBL, Roseville, and Stillwater lead the pack. WBL and Roseville both undefeated so far and don't play each other for another month.
WBL has a very strong team this winter with wins against top teams across the state. Have to expect they continue to roll through the rest of their D2 regular season, take the #1 seed in playoffs, and move on to regions.
Roseville by way of an early win vs Stillwater has the inside track to the #2 seed in the district tournament, but they have WBL twice and Stillwater once more so not an easy road the next 7 weeks.
Stillwater sitting in third and has enough talent to pass Roseville, but is going to need help to catch WBL. Hard to see the Bears losing twice in D2 the rest of the way, but the Ponies will get another shot at them to help close the gap. Has the talent to run the table for the rest of their D2 schedule.
Mahtomedi looks to be a solid #4 in D2 this year. A tie vs Stillwater, a last second loss to Roseville, and all of their fair play points so far made the Zephyrs a confident team and poised to sneak into the top 3 if one of the teams above them stumble. A Dark Horse to get through the district playoffs and make it to regions.
Tartan in fifth place. The Titans have some talent to put a scare into some teams, but not enough depth to make a move much higher in the standings. Could steal a win in district playoffs if taken too lightly.
Mounds View and Highland have both taken a big step backward from very competitive teams last year. Both squads ravaged by departures of 3-4 of their top 2nd years to private schools (e.g. Totino, SPA, Cretin, St Thomas/Sibley). Hard to see either team break into the top half of the standings.
Forest Lake struggling so far. The loss of a top player to WBL and injuries put them behind the eight ball. However, a pretty good goalie will help them win some games in the back half of the season.
No Bantam A team for NSP this season due to declining numbers.

Let me guess? This was a scrimmage? You had a 90 Minute block of ice? Am I close? After 2 periods there was still 35+ minutes remaining of the ice time that was rented? All 90 minutes of rented ice were used? With all that extra time you should have been able to extend your lead!hcky2121 wrote:grocerystick21 wrote:Andover 4

Andover score 2 times in the last 2 minutes to tie it up
Andover made the 3rd period 27 min when they were down 4-2
. LOL- although wouldn't both coaches have to agree to game rules or whatever ?buttend wrote:Let me guess? This was a scrimmage? You had a 90 Minute block of ice? Am I close?
