What is with this AA and A stuff?

Post by WB6162 »

It's been a few years since I had kids in youth hockey but I had to laugh at this.

So A is what if AA is the top level?

Why not call it "A lite" like lite beer?

Either you're an A player or not. What is with this?

I agree what is all AA and A stuff? YHH staff rankings are now just AA rankings. They do not staff rank A teams-last year they did? The A programs are being looked at as second class. MN Hockey has created a monster in this AA and A split. Two years ago all teams were A and played each other. Now AA teams will not play A teams and the A teams are really playing the big AA programs A teams which are really B1 teams.

Uncalled for.

Comparing government website development and NGIN is unfair. Apples and oranges.

To be fair, there's many a hockey parent who thinks their kid didn't make a team because of politics.

When we receive enough data, we will cover 10A, 12A, SQB, SQA, PWB1, PWA, PWAA, BB1, BA, and BAA on our Staff Rankings. We have plenty of data on PWAA (our tournament) and BAA (running a tourney in Brainerd next weekend and needed to seed for it).

If anything, our site, once fully on the NGIN network, will slowly add in NOW Rankings (computer ranks) for all levels (SQB2, SQC, PWC, PWB2, BANB2, BANC, and U10B, U12B, U14A, and U14B).

It's a coin flip on which has a better line of communication.

I'm not MNsure but I believe A would be best defined as B1.

Ha. Biggest understatement I've ever seen posted here. Everyone else just passed by that little jewel.

Some associations have a total of thirty bantams (or peewees) to pick three teams from... and you expect their A team to compete with an association that can pick a A team from eighty bantams?

Then why have an A team? Why not just start with a B team?

But... these go to 11.

Why not just start with a B team?

Just following the HS classification of AA and A, I guess. Doesn't seem that out of line to me. Football is five or six classes. Should they go to one class?
