I was looking to buy my daughter a new youth hockey stick today and my son who is a squirt goes can I get that same stick so we look at the same stick at the next size up and it was $130 more expensive I almost fell out of my chair,

Yep, top of the line Youth is $69, same stick in Junior is $199. The Juniors are very durable compared to the Youth though, and theoretically should last a long time. If that's any consolation.

Don't look at the prices on senior gear then. LOL It won't be long before you'll be paying those prices for your son. On the plus side, though, girls can often stay in Junior skates because their feet are smaller.
